This headline may not mean anything to most people--just another eclipse. It happens all the time. Right?
Let me start by going straight to Genesis 1:14, "And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons for days and years. (KJV)
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars....Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near. Luke 21:25, 27-28
I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth. Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. (Joel 2:30-31) Peter made nearly the exact same remarks as recorded in (Acts 2:19-20
When Pastor John Hagee of the Cornerstone Church in Texas (who has written many books) never thought of the sun, moon and stars as signs in prophecy until he met Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries. He asked Pastor Hagee if he had ever studied the sun, moon and stars as a source of prophetic revelation, Hagee said, no.
Since he had his talk with Pastor Biltz, he began to think about the prospect and started to do a lot of research. And, as a result, John Hagee wrote the book, The Four Blood Moons Something is About to
Change.
I will give you what I believe are the most important points in the book, but reading the whole book for yourself will give you a better understanding of his thorough study on the subject.
According to Hagee, "The Hebrew word for sign is owth, which translates as signals. Therefore, based on the Bible, God uses the sun, moon and stars as signals to mankind. He uses the heavens as His divine billboard announcing coming events."
The Lord had announced in Isaiah 46:9, that He is God and there is no one else. There is none like me. I believe this is what the Lord is saying now. Forget about everything else. I AM God and I AM returning soon.
Throughout the book, Hagee has attempted to build a scriptural foundation for God's prophetic depiction regarding the coming Four Blood Moons. He also states that scripture and human history will once again align with the sun, moon and the stars as we discover the truth of the Four Blood Moons. PREPARE TO BE AMAZED.
Four "blood-red" total lunar eclipses will fall on Passover (Pesach) and Sukkot (Feast of the Tabernacles) in 2014 and 2015, the same back-to-back occurrences appeared at the time of 1492, 1949 and 1967. There have been several Tetrads (four consecutive blood moons since NASA first recorded their occurrences, but Tetrads linked to significant Jewish history have happened only three times in five hundred years.
Hagee said, his next step would be to go to the word of God if he is to consider new prophetic revelation.
He considers that the world has taken a wrong turn and we need a sign from God to get back on the right track--the Four Blood Moons just may be that signal.
Some people will say that we don't need any new revelation. But I say, according to Hagee's book, God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and he has declared that He will give the terminal generation a signal that some big--something earthshaking--is going to happen.
In another of his books, His Glory Revealed, he discussed the feast days (Festivals) and their significance. The Hebrew word for feast is mo'ed. The feast days are God's calendar (see Leviticus 25).
Here are the actual events that inspired the Blood Moons. The first occurrence is when the Jews were thrown out of Spain.
1. Passover, April 2, 1493
2, Feast of Tabernacles, September 25, 1493
3. Passover, March 22, 1494
4, Feast of Tabernacles, September 15, 1494
A total solar eclipse took place on September 24, 1493
The next event is when Israel became a nation.
1. Passover, April 13, 1949
2. Feast of Tabernacles, October 7, 1949
3. Passover, April 2, 1950
4. Feast of Tabernacles, September 25, 1950
A total solar eclipse, September 12, 1950
The next event is the 7-day war. When the Jew recaptured Jerusalem.
1. Passover, April 24, 1967
2. Feast of Tabernacles, October 18, 1967
3, Passover, April 13, 1968
4. Feast of Tabernacles, October 6, 1968
A total solar eclipse, November 2, 1967
And, now, there is going to be another, but, we do not know what event takes or took place.
1. Passover, April 15, 2014
2. Feast of the Tabernacles, October 8, 2014
3. Passover, April 4, 2015
4. Feast of Tabernacles, September 27, 2015
A total solar eclipse, March 20, 2015
It is so rare to have a solar eclipse and four blood moons, especially considering the Feast Days and it will happen again next month.
What is God trying to show us? It may be a sign to the Jew or it may be a sign to all of us. No one knows yet. I don't know about you, but I will be paying close attention.
This is just a taste. Please get John Hagee's book to learn more.

REVELATION: THE FORGOTTEN BOOK
This article is about a little understood and hardly read book of the Bible. It is a wake up call to everyone--believers and especially non-believers!
"Take notice! I will tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep (in death), but we shall all be changed (transformed). In a moment, a twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will be raised unperishable and, we shall be changed (transformed.)" 1 Cor. 15:51-52.
A trumpet will blow and I imagine trillions of angels surrounding the sky. Jesus Christ appears in a cloud. He is wearing a white gown so dazzling it hurts the eyes. Only believers will be able to see Him. The moment arrives; Jesus calls His church to heaven. With God's bride out of the way, He can deal with the Jew, and evil personified will enter the scene during a period called the "Tribulation," which leads to the final conflict.
.Does this sound far-fetched to you? Do you say I have no interest in fairy tales and I want no part of this ridiculous talk? When I read it, my heart fills with excitement and joy.
Let me remind you that some generation will usher in the King and from what I have studied, I believe this generation will have the privilege. We cannot know the day or the hour but we can read the signs; wars and rumors of wars, disease and famine, lawlessness, overpopulation, an increase in speed and knowledge (advancements in science and technology), a return of interest in the occult, hard drug use (used as an escape) and plagues such as AIDS and the Ebola Virus. There has also been a few documented cases of the bubonic plague and a flesh-eating virus.
We are in the generation of nuclear weapons and biological warfare. No other generation has seen these dangerous advancements. Small Middle Eastern countries now have these capabilities. One push of a button and planet earth becomes a burned-out shell. It takes only one crazed human to start it all.
This is what is happening today with an attack on the family and young people. Many watched frightening events at Columbine High School. The hate these two young individuals felt about fellow students and the choices they made, one can only wonder if such horror and cruelty can come from the minds of our young without help. Crazed people are wounding and killing their fellow man. Are we in the "End Times" or are we burying our heads in the sand ignoring the final book of the Bible? Is Revelation fact or fiction, only symbolism or can we take it literally? Is it God's plan to usher in a New Age or ridiculous hype?
Most clergy do not teach or preach from Revelation. Satan has done his job; He has convinced many that Revelation is not understandable and that it is basically symbolism. The Lord desires this book to be understood because it is time. I believe Revelation is as dramatic as a movie thriller, yet the most exciting book in the Bible we ignore as if it doesn't exist. It's exciting because it tells of our glorious future. In his commentary on Revelation, Oral Roberts, the Evangelist (now deceased) said, "It is the number one book of the Bible because it tells us where we come from, where we are today, where we are going and how we are going to get there."
According to Bible prophecy teacher, Hilton Sutton (now deceased) explained it this way:
"The book of Revelation is the greatest book in the Bible because it contains God's grand conclusion. The utter defeat of Satan's best plan is beautifully described within this glorious book.
It is the only book that promises blessings on those who read it." Rev. 1:3. "As you study, you will understand this statement; and it is absolutely important that you do."
While Jesus was on the earth the disciples asked him what would be the signs of the end of the age? If you read Matthew 24, you will find Jesus explaining to His disciples what the world would be like before the end. And what I stated earlier there will be false Christs (Rev. Moon, David Koresh, and Jim Jones) these men led people to ruin while claiming to be the answer. Now we have such things as the Emerging Church, Chrislam (merging Christianity with Islam) and the New Age Movement. However, the world has yet to see the greatest charismatic false Christ in all of history who will lead planet earth on the road to final destruction. God sent the perfect leader (the Messiah) but the world rejected Him. Jesus said that sinful man would receive a false king. He lamented over Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37-39). I believe Jesus anguished over Israel's rejection, but, He will return as He promised, as Ruler King.
Revelation means disclosure or unveiling of future events leading to His Second Coming. This article is not an overall study of Revelation but, rather, my earnest plea for all of us to seek the Savior while time remains. The clock is ticking...
Because of all of this, what should we be doing until His return?
Attend church (Heb. 10:25); observe the Lord's supper (1 Cor. 11:23-26); be patient (James 5:8); love believers and all men (I Thess. 3:12-13); live a separated life (I John 3:1-3); refrain from judging (1 Cor. 4:5); preach the word (II Timothy 4:2); comfort the bereaved (I Thess. 4:18); win souls (Jude 21-23); and be concerned with heaven (Col. 3-1-4).
The Lord calls us to study the word (2 Tim: 2-15) so that we may know the truth. If we don't, Satan can dupe us into believing anything, because it seems believable. Religions abound with all kinds of beliefs. What is right? Search for yourself; ask God to show you the way.
The last book of the Bible is the events before the return of Jesus but, to me, Revelation is about a God whose love knows no bounds. He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us so we may live forever. Jesus Christ is the light and the hope of the world. The premise is simple yet people still reject it.
We can speculate about Revelation, have discussions with fellow Christians and unbelievers or we can ignore it altogether. My reason for writing about Revelation and prophecy is to provoke thought not only on the fate of the earth's future but, also, on how we live our life today, thereby insuring our future. It is far more important to think about our everlasting destiny than the few years we may spend on the earth.
Imagine this as you think about your future. All of your life you have doubted that you need Jesus to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. You doubt he is the Son of God and you have fallen for the talk of some religions and cults. You are buying into the idea there are many ways to heaven. Although the Bible states the only way to to heaven is through his Son, you believe God is merciful and no one will go to hell. You are not even sure hell exists.
Throughout history there has been an Evil One misleading us and trying to take us down the wrong path. You don't want to find yourself in a dark hole that you can't climb out of - ever! Think on these things before you make a decision you will regret.
If this article has tempted you to read this great book, I hope you will buy a good commentary and read and study it for yourself. Other books containing prophecy are: Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Joel and Zechariah.
Revelation can be frightening, exciting and thought provoking, but nothing to fear, if we know Jesus. The revelation is good news--come Lord come!

Christian Persecution
This post is important. I want to inform people namely, Christians, that what is stated below has been on my heart and I didn't know how I was going to do a post on it. Low and behold, I found this on Faithwriters and it states what I firmly believe is true and soon it will be happening. We better wake up. Talk about in our churches and anywhere people will listen. We need to help Christians who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus. It is so important, because without Jesus we would probably surrender to persecution. NOW I KNOW WHY THE LORD WANTED ME TO START THIS BLOG.
Of course, we need to pray for the lost. The Lord weeps for the lost and wants us to be his voice and hands.
Dr. Carl Sterling Parnell, a Christian educator, author, and columnist, has completed his second book, which is in an Adobe pdf, eBook format. It is entitled A Brewing Pot of Christian Persecution: America’s Postmodern Anti-Christian Crusade. It was written to prove that Christian persecution does exist in America. It can be purchased for $5.00 from the FAITHWRITERS EBOOK STORE. His articles may also be read on his FAITHWRITERS PROFILE.
A brewing pot of Christian persecution: America’s Postmodern Anti-Christian crusade exposes the tactics that are being used even now to rid America of Christianity. The anti-Christian agenda in America can be seen in the public school systems, the court systems, and throughout many other public settings. Despite the assumption that America is a Christian nation, it is obvious that Christendom and Christians are on the verge of being persecuted. Read your newspapers. Watch television news broadcasts. Read Internet articles. Read books on the topic (According to Russ Wise in his article “Education and New Age Humanism,” Sheila Schwartz, a member of the American Humanist Association, stated “…but thank God the Crazies don’t do all that much reading. If they did, they’d find they have already been defeated.”). Then, it would be much easier to accept that a brewing pot of Christian persecution is about to boil over in the United States, unless Christians everywhere become aware of what is going on behind closed doors and get on their knees in concerted prayer again.
Many people do not believe that Christian persecution exists in America. In fact, some people even believe that up to 90 percent of Americans are Christian. However, that is a very high estimate. But, regardless of how many people profess to be Christians in America, a brewing pot of Christian persecution is about to boil over in the nation that prides itself on religious freedom. Christians in the United States need to set their eyes on what happens in the halls of Congress in the next few years. They should become aware of the anti-Christian groups that seek to gain leverage over America’s Christian community. They should become aware of the proposed bills in Congress that would prevent Christians from worshiping freely inside and outside the four walls of their churches. But, most importantly, they should become aware of the persecution that already exists in America in businesses, public schools, public universities, government agencies, and, of course, the media. Therefore, Christians in America would then be able to mount a unified front against those who would attempt to deny Christians their religious freedoms without fear of persecution

Life Line
Day after day, I walk around the neighborhood, travel on buses, Elevated and Metra trains staring at people of all ages on their cell phones. I sometimes go ballistic when I hear them yelling on their phones in grocery stores because I hear people’s personal discussions and it is annoying to say the least. The cell phone is with people night and day, and I see them holding the phone in their hands like they expect a phone call momentarily. I read an article on the Internet where the writer states he thinks people use the phone in order to keep people at a distance. Have we become a generation of phone huggers rather than people huggers? I will bet you that a lot of people have their cell phone on the pillow next to them so they can answer in the middle of the night. This wasn’t true before the cell phone and other technologies. I believe there are some people who could not live without their phone.
I call them “Techno Freaks,” not because they are bad or strange but because they are dangerous when technology takes over their lives. They are dangerous when driving, either talking or texting. They are dangerous while riding a bike or motorcycle. They are dangerous to all of us who want to stay alive.
But the greatest danger is technology becoming people’s God. It must be a life line for some people.
As a Christian, we should be concerned with contacting our life line, Jesus Christ. We should be contacting Him daily. Without Jesus and his precious Blood our life would be pretty dark. We need people concerned about the lost and shed darkness by attracting people to the light. We are the light of the world.
Are you ready to suffer
The thought has been encircling my mind for the past year. Would I be ready to suffer and die for Jesus Christ if persecution came to the United States? Many Christians in China, North Korea and now Africa are suffering and dying because they believe in Jesus Christ. What is more impressive is while they are being tortured they are singing the praises of the Lord. How magnificent is this. I have received this information from Voice of the Martyrs, an organization that sends Bibles, asks us to pray, and to send letters to those persecuted in different areas of the world encouraging them. It would be wonderful for them to know that we in the United States are praying for them.
I’m not sure how I would react if some other power took over in the United States and demanded we deny Jesus or die. We, in this country, don’t know much persecution. I think we are a soft society that is slowly drifting away from Jesus.
